Core Beliefs

CityLife Church is a non-denominational, Spirit-filled church. We embrace the doctrine of the Christian faith and hold to all Biblical truths.

God
We believe that God is the Sovereign Creator and Ruler of the universe. He exists eternally in the triune Godhead as
Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Man
We believe that God created man in His image and that his worth and value are determined by the creator.

The Bible
The Bible is God’s Word. It is absolute Truth and the final authority on faith and life.

Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ - the only Son of God. Born of a virgin, He is Savior, Redeemer, & Lord. We believe in His
life, death, Resurrection, Rule, Reign, & Return.

Salvation
We believe that Salvation comes by Grace through Faith alone.

Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He is with us to Help, Guide, Comfort and lead us into all Truth.
We believe that Spiritual Gifts are given to the Body of Christ for today.

Eternity
Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God, through
forgiveness and salvation through Christ. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is Heaven.

Baptism
We believe in Baptism, both Water and Spirit.

Prayer
We believe in the Biblical doctrine of laying on of hands and the prayer of faith, under the authority of the name of Jesus Christ.

Sanctification
We believe that Christians are to be salt, light and a fortress to the world; living principled, spiritual and practical Biblical lives.
